RE:  Halloween-Themed 5k Run and 1 Mile Walk

 

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Elmira, NY – Register for The Arc of Chemung’s second annual Spooktacular 5k and Scarecrow Sprint 1 Mile event, to take place on Sunday, October 23rd at 10:00 a.m. Costumes are encouraged but not required.

Race day registration will be held from 9:00—9:45 a.m. with the race beginning at 10:00 a.m. T-shirts, for adults, and Halloween-themed goodie bags, for youth, will be available to the first 100 registrants.

The Arc of Chemung’s Recreation Program creates recreation, socialization and leisure opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. People with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in the community are very often socially isolated and lack the social skills to pursue a life with meaningful relationships.
