RE: Residents Celebrate Newly Renovated Space

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Elmira, NY – The Arc of Chemung recently held an open house at their Smith Road residence, to celebrate the completion of some intensive renovations, which included the addition of three new single bedrooms and a new staff office.

In addition to thanking The Arc of Chemung’s Facilities Team, for making the newly-renovated space happen, Michael A. Doherty, Ph.D., The Arc of Chemung’s Executive Director, and Lucimar Escudero, Board Vice-President, spoke about how the Agency set out with a mission to raise funds from members of our community to support this project and we received tremendous support from: The Anderson Foundation; The Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning & the Finger Lakes, Inc.; First Heritage Federal Credit Union; The Hilliard Foundation; and Chemung Canal Trust Company. One resident provided a hand-held tour throughout the home.
