The Arc of Chemung announces that Amanda Erickson, Coordinator of the Community Job Center, recently participated in the national Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) Certification exam, passing, and receiving certification.
Elmira, NY – The Arc of Chemung announces that Gary Soule (Elmira), a person supported by the agency, was among 58 statewide 2017 Joslin Outstanding Performers recognized through New York State Industries for the Disabled, Inc’s (NYSID) annual people-centered awards program. Gary is being recognized for his custodial and landscaping work though Southern Tier Industries (STI).

Staff members include Sherry Kelly, Vocational Specialist; Kristine Kohler, Vocational Specialist; Lucinda Wood, Job Coach; and Nicole Brown, Supported Employment Manager.

Taking place on Sunday, October 23rd, the event engaged 131 runners and walkers while raising nearly $5,000, to benefit the agency’s Recreation Program. Participants were as young as five years of age and included folks of all abilities.
Register for The Arc of Chemung’s second annual Spooktacular 5k and Scarecrow Sprint 1 Mile event, to take place on Sunday, October 23rd at 10:00 a.m. Costumes are encouraged but not required.

Richard Larkin (Elmira), was one of 15 individuals awarded with the final William B. Joslin Outstanding Performance Award. He is being recognized for his custodial work though Southern Tier Industries.
